On 20 February 2019, Aigine CRC conducted a preliminary workshop as part of the project on Safeguarding Practices and Rare Rituals Related to Sacred Sites in Kyrgyzstan: Preparation of an Inventory and Safeguarding Measures.

The main goal of the workshop was to discuss ways and patterns of inventorying rituals and practices related to sacred site pilgrimage. During the workshop, participants became acquainted with UNESCO ICH and the relevant provisions of 2003 Convention, as well as experience of other counties on inventorying ICH.

The sacred site guardians and activists, members of the interested community groups, journalists and MA students of the Anthropology department took part in the workshop.
