Mission

Aigine Cultural Research Center (CRC) (which means “lucid”, “definite”) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in May 2004 at the initiative of Gulnara Aitpaeva, Doctor of Philology, with the participation of Aida Alymbaeva and Mukaram Toktogulova, Candidate of Philology.

The Foundation’s core purpose is to preserve, study, and enhance the relevance of the cultural heritage and traditional knowledge of the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and other countries; to integrate traditional wisdom into contemporary life; and to seek points of connection between spirituality and science, nature and culture, tradition and innovation, as well as other seeming opposites.

The Foundation’s long-term goal is to actively bring the cultural heritage and traditional knowledge of the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and other countries into contemporary life through research, education, digitalization, cultural initiatives, and partnerships; to strengthen intergenerational continuity; and to create conditions for mutual understanding between different cultural and value systems.

Objectives of the Foundation

  • To preserve and promote cultural heritage, traditional knowledge, and practices.
  • To advance research in the fields of culture, language, art, history, and traditional knowledge.
  • To develop educational and public outreach initiatives and support the training of specialists.
  • To develop digital spaces and digital archives for the preservation and sharing of knowledge.
  • To contribute to strengthening intergenerational continuity and intercultural exchange.
  • To carry out publishing, educational, and media activities, including the preparation and publication of books, textbooks, methodological manuals, guidebooks, educational courses, scholarly and popular science publications, as well as the creation of documentary and educational films, animated films, audiovisual works, and various digital and print materials.
