Measuring time

The time when the sun rises is called shahske; when the sun is straight overhead, it is tush. The time when the sun goes past the top of the sky is called beshim, and when the sun reaches the peak of the mountains it is called diger. Some time after diger is called sham, when it gets dark that time is called kuptan, and the dawn is called bagymdat. Since there were no clocks in ancient times, people defined time according to the movement of the sun.
