This stage of the project places special emphasis on the further institutional development of Aigine CRC and on strengthening its role as a sustainable organizational partner for local initiative groups. A key step in this process is the strategic working retreat, which brought together Aigine’s long-time partners, knowledge bearers, experts, staff, youth, and board members. The retreat created a dedicated space to reflect collectively on Aigine’s future goals, discuss possible ways of achieving them, and consider both the opportunities and the limitations that should shape its further work.
The main purpose of this process was to develop a clear and collectively agreed vision for Aigine CRC’s future direction, strengthen its institutional base, and define more sustainable ways of working. Particular attention is given to financial sustainability, a stronger shared understanding of internal roles and priorities, and the expansion and strengthening of Aigine’s regional presence in Kyrgyzstan and, more broadly, in Central Asia. The working retreat was held from February 28 to March 1, 2026. Through active group work, reflection in smaller teams, and collective discussion, the organization gathered valuable insights and built a practical foundation for long-term planning and future initiatives.
Institutional strengthening in this project also includes support for emerging regional initiative groups, especially the Antiguo ye Nuevo Initiative Group, which is still in the process of formation. Aigine CRC acts as their institutional partner and umbrella support structure, helping them build organizational skills, project experience, community engagement capacity, and the ability to carry out cultural heritage initiatives more independently in the future. In this way, the project strengthens not only Aigine CRC itself, but also lays the groundwork for a sustainable network of independent regional partner groups.
