On July 26, with the initiative and support of the Aigine Cultural Research Center, Aigine’s researcher Shaakan Toktogul conducted a field visit to the Chiymeluu-Tash Valley (also known as Chiyim-Tash), located near Kambar-Ata 2 Hydropower Plant in Toktogul District.
The ancient petroglyphs of this area are situated on the left bank of the Naryn River and represent an open-air historical monument consisting of approximately 250 engraved stones. These rock carvings feature images related to hunting, daily life, and symbolic figures from various historical periods.
Since the valley lies within the secured zone of the hydropower station, prior official permission was obtained for access to the site.
We express our gratitude to the administration of Kambar-Ata 2 HPP for their support in providing transportation and guidance during the visit.
