Second Field Trip

From June 25 to 28, the Aigine CRC team conducted a field trip to the historical and cultural complex of petroglyphs located in the area known as Jol-Chyrak and Kaldyrama-Boz Bee, also called Murdash Bashy. During the trip, the Aigine CRC team, together with Saltanat Alisher kyzy, an archaeologist from Osh State University, documented several stones, determined the coordinates and boundaries of the complex to refine the upcoming online map of the site. As part of the project and to preserve the memory of this place, the Aigine CRC team is preparing to release an online map with archaeological descriptions and traditional interpretations of the stone carvings, as well as an animated motion video featuring the traditional narrative of the Murdash complex’s origins.
