On December 22nd and 23rd, the presentation of the first traditional Kyrgyz dream book (cards of predictions) took place at the Aigine CRC, along with two animated motion-style videos depicting legends of the Creation of the Earth and horned animals – kayberen. The plots are based on images, symbols, and meanings of petroglyphs researched in the territories of Ak-Bulun, Ala-Bash, Ornok, Murdash-Bashy, Tergen-Tash, and Saimaluu-Tash, interpreted by traditional practices and experts in the field of intangible cultural heritage. Additionally, the screening of the first documentary film about Kyrgyz traditional headdresses, made with bird feathers, took place. The film reveals their symbolic, cultural, and social significance.
The presentation was accompanied by performances on the komuz, singing, reciting poetry, and conceptual discussions of the film and dream book contents. The event concluded with a shared ritual of tіlek and bata.
The presented films and dream book contribute to the development of understanding of Kyrgyz traditional culture and the expansion of forms of its popularization.
