The project’s working group, musicians Cholpon Turumbayeva, Rysbek Zhunushov, Zalina Kasymova and traditional musical instrument maker Marat Berikbayev completed the process of modifying the structure of the kyl kyyak, which will be able to easily produce a konur үn.
On February 19, the project’s working group began the stage of training young musicians to play the reconstructed kyl kyyak. The final goal of training a group of musicians to play reconstructed komuza and kyl kiyak is to take them with reconstructed instruments to the orchestra of the B. Beishenalieva University of Culture and Arts and hold a reporting concert.
