The fourth seminar was held in Batken on May 2-5. The seminar was attended by researchers of the Issyk-Kul and Batken groups as well as experts in traditional knowledge and hydrology Jumagazy Sadyr uulu, Jumakadyr Karamoldoev, Chynara Seidakhmatova. Teachers of secondary schools of Batken region also took part in the seminar. 20 people took part in the seminar in total.
The main aim of the seminar was to exchange knowledge and experience gained during the project. The main purpose of the seminar was to form and approve the final concepts of the project’s products – a textbook, calendar and social clips.
Researchers presented their vision for each product. The basis and content of their presentations were materials collected during five months of field work. Teachers of secondary schools gave their vision on the content of field materials to do project’s products more interesting, informative for students of the schools.
Also during the seminar, three practical sessions were held on the sacred sites Aigul-Too, Suu-Bashy and Turtkul Reservoir. Participants of the seminar conducted interviews with local residents and pilgrims about methods of water purification and water reservoirs, widespread in south regions – Khavuz.
The following results were achieved during the seminar:
- The concept and content of the textbook was formed and approved
- Plots of social clips were formed and approved
- The theme of the calendar was approved
