🏞️ Aigine CRC continues its work on creating an interactive platform that will unite materials on petroglyphs from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. The website will feature photos, descriptions, videos, and research, making the information both accessible and engaging for a wide audience. Last week, the Aigine team traveled to Kazakhstan to study petroglyphs and cultural heritage sites. The expedition provided valuable ethnographic and archaeological material that will become part of the future database.
⚜️ Aigine CRC, in partnership with the National Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic for UNESCO, is preparing for an important event — the presentation of the national database created within the project “Digital Journey into the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Kyrgyzstan.” The presentation will take place on 18 September at the “Supara” Ethno-Complex (Kok-Jar village, Bishkek). This database brings together materials collected in close cooperation with communities and bearers across the country. It features texts, photos, videos, and audio recordings that reflect the rich world of Kyrgyz traditions, knowledge, and practices. Importantly, the resource was developed with the active participation of the very communities who are the main custodians and bearers of this heritage.
