🌀 Collection of Materials on Kyrgyz Crafts:
The work on creating a database of traditional Kyrgyz crafts is actively ongoing. Currently, researchers Shaakan Toktogul and Elnarbek Abdygaparuulu are finalizing their fieldwork in the Chui region, where numerous meetings and interviews with local artisans and tradition bearers have been conducted. Simultaneously, the team at the Aigine Cultural Research Center has started a detailed analysis and systematization of the collected data. In the near future, the project team plans to develop and approve Kyrgyz-language terminology aligned with the “Traditional Crafts” domain of the National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage. After the terminology is finalized, the collected materials will be translated into Russian and English. The project is being implemented with the support of the International Information and Networking Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region under the auspices of UNESCO (UNESCO ICHCAP) and the Official Development Assistance (ODA) program of the Republic of Korea.

📚 Preparation for Book Publication:
The Aigine Cultural Research Center’s team is actively preparing for the publication of the children’s book “Baldar Asmany” (Children’s Sky). This publication will introduce young readers to traditional Kyrgyz folk tales with engaging narratives about the origins of planets and stars. The book will contain 10 Kyrgyz folk stories selected and interpreted by astronomer Abakir Kalybekov, a lecturer at the J. Balasagyn Kyrgyz National University.
