🥋 International Conference: From October 7 to 9, the International Forum took place in Chunju, South Korea, gathering representatives from 12 countries involved in martial arts. Cultural specialists, tradition bearers, and practitioners came together to discuss important issues and share their experiences. On October 7, the first session focused on the topic “Martial Arts as Intangible Cultural Heritage and Their Role.” The session was moderated by Gulnara Aitpaeva, Director of the Aigine Cultural Research Center. On October 8, Cholponai U. G., Senior Project Coordinator at Aigine, presented to the forum participants about our traditional game kök börü. This ancient Kyrgyz game is not just a sport but an important part of the culture and identity of the Kyrgyz people. In addition to presentations, the forum featured various master classes and demonstrations of different martial arts.

👩🏻‍💻 Working Meeting: On October 8, a meeting took place at the Aigine CRC office as part of the “Meeting of Cultural Heritage and Modern Technologies” project by SolTek LLC. This collaboration aims to unite the efforts of Aigine, as a center working with cultural heritage, and SolTek, which specializes in modern technologies. Experts Temirbek Toktogaziev, Chynara Seidakhmatova, and Kyal Tajieva attended the meeting. The main topic of discussion was the script for an animated film about sacred places. Each expert proposed their own story, and it was ultimately decided to combine the three plots into one animated film to create a cohesive video product. Production of the animated film will begin in November.

🌚 Local Knowledge about Stars: The initiative group “Balbar Asmany” (Children’s Sky), in collaboration with a group of young artists and animators led by Asel Kitaeva, is completing work on a video lesson about stars and the solar system for children and is starting to develop bright illustrations for a collection of traditional Kyrgyz fairy tales about the starry sky. This book will compile folk legends about stars and celestial spheres gathered by the leader of the initiative group “Zhyldyz Sanak,” senior astronomy lecturer Abakir Kalybekov. This project aims to transmit traditional knowledge systems to younger generations through modern multimedia platforms.
