🎶 Participation in the International Forum: Member of the working group of the project “Incorporating Konur Un into the Sound of the Kyrgyz Orchestra” Cholpon Turumbaeva presented the results of her research on the sound of Konur within the framework of the IV International Scientific and Practical Forum “Culture of the Eurasian Region,” which took place from May 30 to June 2, 2024, at the Altai State Institute of Culture under the auspices of the Commonwealth of Asian Institutions of Culture Education. For participation in the Forum, Cholpon Turumbaeva’s article “Velvety Sound in Kyrgyz Instrumental Music” was translated into Russian. The article will be published in the scientific journal of the Altai State Institute of Culture based on the results of the International Scientific and Practical Forum. The final goal of training a group of musicians to play reconstructed komuz and kyl kyyak is to introduce them with the reconstructed instruments into the orchestra of the B. Beishenalieva University of Culture and Arts and to hold a report concert.
⛰️ Creation of Motion Video: The coordinator of the project “Preservation of Murdash Bashy Petroglyphs and Related Traditional Knowledge through Mapping and Digitization” held a working consultative meeting with a member of the Tentek association for the joint development of an animated motion video based on the plot about the significance of the historical and cultural complex Murdash Bashy. The plot was formed in the process of work by traditional practitioners and archaeologists of the project in interpreting the drawings on the stones of the Murdash Bashy complex. During the meeting, the deadlines and practical tasks for creating the future motion video were discussed, which will become part of the project results along with a digital map of the cultural and historical complex Murdash Bashy, containing a traditional interpretation and archaeological description of the place.
✋ Youth Against Violence: On May 24, the premiere of two short films “Kecheresinbi?” and “Yrym,” shot by Aigine CRC, took place on the “Youth Initiative” program on UTRK channel. These films were created to reflect the increase in domestic violence in our country. In the “Youth Initiative” program, speakers included ethnopsychologist Munduz Asanalieva, journalist Aigerim Kubatbekova, and teacher Asylbek Joodonbekov. At the premiere, speakers and participants discussed the short films, as well as the reasons for the increase in violence in our society and ways to eliminate it. The director of the film “Kecheresinbi?” is Temirlan Jumabekov, and “Yrym” was directed by Guzel Duishenkulova. Students of the Kyrgyz State University of Culture and Arts named after B. 👩🏻💻 Working Meetings: On June 5, the Working Group of the Forum of Non-Governmental Organizations held an online meeting on the assessment of effectiveness indicators of measures to preserve intangible cultural heritage. Based on the results of the meeting, a special guide on these indicators will be developed. These indicators will be used by countries in reports submitted every four years. Overall Results Framework. The Aigine Public Foundation has been a member of the Executive Committee of the Forum from the Asia-Pacific region since 2023 until the end of 2024.
