🎶 On April 18, the working group of the project “Bringing konur үn to the sound of the Kyrgyz orchestra”, musicians Cholpon Turumbaeva, Rysbek Zhunushov, Zalina Kasymova held the first hearing of the orchestra with the inclusion of reconstructed komuzes and kyl kyyaks. Within the framework of the first hearing the interim results of the process of training young musicians and further steps within the framework of the project activities were discussed.

🎉 Namazbek Uraliev – Master Arirang: On April 15, Namazbek Uraliev and Aigine CRC employee Meerim Aitkeev attended the morning broadcast of Zamana studio. During the live broadcast, the hosts congratulated Namazbek Uraliev on receiving the “Arirang Master” award, to which he admitted that it was a pleasant surprise for him. Meerim Aitkeyeva shared details of the application process for this prestigious award. At the end of the program, the master performed a piece on the komuz.

📑 Work on the UNESCO National List: “A Digital Journey into the World of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Kyrgyz Republic”, continues to be actively engaged in collecting, analyzing and verifying data on elements of the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH). Particular attention is paid to supplementing and verifying information, as well as collecting relevant photo and video material to illustrate elements of ICH. In parallel with this process, the design of the digital platform, which will be the main output of the project, is under review and approval by the team members. The project planning also includes the development of a video infographic that will focus on the basic concepts and principles of the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. This multimedia format will not only be informative, but will also allow a wide audience to better understand the significance and uniqueness of intangible cultural heritage and the importance of the content of the 2003 UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of ICH.
