📚 Work on the revision and translation of the national inventory of intangible cultural heritage elements: representatives of 8 domains of the national inventory of ICH elements of Kyrgyzstan – oral folk art, traditional music, traditional rituals and festivities, traditional cuisine, traditional crafts and trades, traditional games, knowledge and practices related to nature and the universe, pilgrimage practices and rituals related to sacred places continue their work on updating, revising and supplementing the national inventory of elements of intangible cultural heritage elements At the moment, the project working group has started to translate the lists for further posting on the digital platform that will be created as part of this work. The domain of traditional cuisine is being translated from Russian into Kyrgyz, and the domain of traditional crafts and trades is being translated from Kyrgyz into Russian. The work is carried out within the framework of the project “Digital Journey into the World of Intangible Cultural Heritage”, supported by the ICH UNESCO Foundation.

📻 Radio airing for discussion on domestic violence against women: On August 15, a meeting with representatives of the community media network was held at the Aigine CRC office to discuss plans and preparations for a future radio program on domestic violence against women. During the discussion, the conditions for recording the program were reviewed, and the format and topics for each broadcast were determined. It was decided to start the series of topics from November 27, accompanying its start with the annual action “16 Days against Violence against Women”.

📝 Participation in an international conference on cultural heritage: Aigine CRC Director Gulnara Aitpayeva participated this week in the international conference “Living Heritage, Civil Society, Sustainable Development” in Rome, Italy. The meeting was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the 2003 UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage and brought together specialists in this field. The meeting was held in the historic building of the country’s Parliament.
