On December 17-19, the Aigine CRC team visited the village administration of Ak-Bulun village, Ak-Suu district, Issyk-Kul region, within the framework of the project “Study and Preservation of Traditional Knowledge Associated with Petroglyphs of Ak-Bulun Complex (Issyk-Kul province, Kyrgyzstan)”. The purpose of the meetings is to discuss and incorporate the local vision into the tangible products of the project.
At the meetings, information for the future stand on Ak-Bulun petroglyphs and the concept of the final joint presentation were discussed.
The expert team proposed to focus on the topics of archaeological, historical and cultural monuments of various significance and encouraged local partners to contribute through knowledge and input from local residents of Ak-Suu district, Issyk-Kul province. At the Issyk-Kul State University named after Tynystanov, negotiations were held with the teacher and project partner Zukhra Abdullaeva. Future activities within the framework of the project were discussed. In particular, guest lectures on the topics of the project.
The meetings were moderated by project coordinator Aiza Abdyrakhmanova and key traditional knowledge expert Sadyr uulu Zhumagazy. The project is supported by the Pavank Foundation.
