Today  the Aigine CRC team, together with partners, held a consultation meeting with representatives of the UNESCO Secretariat for the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Juliana Forero and Agne Barktkute, who are conducting a technical assessment of the Aigine project proposal to create a digital platform for the intangible cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan. The goals of the planned project are to convert the national list of elements of the intangible cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan into digital format, as well as to conduct inventory of  the ICH elements of the peoples living in Kyrgyzstan.

The meeting discussed important issues of community consent to the inclusion of ICH elements in the inventory list and the publication of information about communities’ ICH in digital format.

The meeting was attended by long-term partners of Aigine, representatives of various communities – Amanbubu Torogeldieva, Cholpon Alymbekova, Chynar Seidakhmatova, as well as representatives of the Dungan and Uyghur communities – ethnographer, representative of the Fund for the Preservation of the Cultural Heritage of the Dungans of Central Asia Ali John and Professor of Issyk-Kul State University Sayfulla Abdullayev.
