On 7 October, the Aigine CRC team took part in the International JIAPICH Online Zoom Festival to promote the best practices for preserving the elements of intangible cultural heritage. The festival is organized by the city administration of Jeonju in cooperation with the Center for intangible culture studies, South Korea.
The purpose of the Jeonju International Awards and Festival for Promoting Intangible Cultural Heritage is to encourage the model safeguarding practices of Intangible Cultural Heritage in the global community regardless of nationality, ethnicity, religion, race, age, gender, or any other political, social, economic or cultural orientation. The model safeguarding practices of Intangible Cultural Heritage shall include any effective method or approach.
Aigine CRC team, including other 4 participants of the festival, was specially invited to talk about their activities. Aiza Abdyrakhmanova made a presentation and shared with the event participants Aigine CRC’s activities to preserve the elements of ICH in Kyrgyzstan. Cholponai U-G participated in Q&A session of the festival. The online festival was also attended by representatives of organizations from Australia, Poland, Japan, Italy and Tajikistan.
