On June 17, 2021, in Konduk village, the presentation of the book “Zherin suigun el, eldi bakkan zher: Konduk elin zharatylyshty saktoo ykmalary” (People who love their land, the land that feeds people: methods of protecting the environment of the residents of Koduk village) was held.

This book is the result of studying the methods of environmental protection practiced by the local population of Kunduk village in 2020. The study was carried out by the Aigine Cultural Research Center together with residents of Konduk village within the framework of the project “Integration of traditional practices and scientific methods, strengthening the capacity of local experts” (Kulun-Ata Nature Reserve, Kщnduk village, Osh region)” supported by the Global Environment Fund (GEF) small grants program.

The presentation was attended by residents, village elders. Within the framework of the presentation, Agine CRC’s expert Zhumagazy Sadyr uulu spoke about the meaning and purpose of the publication. The villagers shared their impressions of the progress of the project and its results. Also, members of the project working group, local residents Nazirov Mitalip, Tolonbaev Zhanbolot and Shaybyldaev Abdyjapar shared their impressions of the work in the project.

The books were received by all local residents who attended the presentation, as well as the school of Konduk village, the library of the village and Kulun-Ata nature reserve.
