Aigine CRC took part in the work of the Evaluation Body (EB) under the Intergovernmental Committee for the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) from 19 to 26 June 2022, Paris. Karakol is the Commonwealth Capital of Culture in 2022
Within the framework of the project “Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) and the Transformation of Cultural Codes”, Aigine CRC supported the initiative of the Uyghur diaspora living in the city of Karakol to document elements of their cultural heritage. This initiative aims to contribute to the cultural relay “Karakol – Commonwealth Capital of Culture” by documenting and preserving the cultural heritage of various ethnic groups living in Karakol. Certification of a new complex of petroglyphs
In 2021, Aigine CRC team, on the initiative of Manas epic chanter Tilek Asanov, together with the residents of Ak-Bulun village of the Issyk-Kul region, explored petroglyphs located in the mountains near Ak-Bulun. As it turned out, this complex was not known to specialists, was not documented and was not included in the registers of the cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan.
