The Aigine CRC conducted a farewell concert in the memory of Nurak Abdrakhmanov with participation of his last group of apprentices \u2013 the participants of the project on Solving Youth Problems through Creative Interaction. The concert was held on May 26, 2014 at 16:00 at the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic Hall.<\/p>\n
This project was initiated and implemented by the Aigine CRC from June 2013 to May 2014 by the financial support of the Youth Program, Soros Foundation-Kyrgyzstan.<\/p>\n
Nurak Abdrakhmanov, an outstanding musician of his time, was the chief mentor for the students of the boarding school for visually impaired and blind children. Initially, it was planned that Nurak Abdrakhmanov himself will lead the concert and perform solo. However, on the night from 25 to 26 May, he passed away. Therefore, the format of the concert has been modified.<\/p>\n
The concert began with Joktoo\u2013 the lamentation of the maitre by improvised performance of akyn,Azamat Bolgonbaev. The next performance was the beautiful melody Ata Murasy\u2013 The Heritage of Ancestors, composed by Nurak Abdrakhmanov and devoted to the great thinkers of the past. Cholpon Alymbekova played this melody and dedicated it to her Teacher, Nurak Abdrakhmanov.<\/p>\n
Nurak Abdrakhmanov\u2019s last students, graduates of the special boarding school, have demonstrated great self-control and excellent performance of everything learnt from their Mentor. They played all the planned melodies, starting from children\u2019s songs to difficult melodies such as Attila. In addition to the project participants, Bakyt Jakypov, Julia Rutskaya and Mirbek Atabekov – well-known singers and at the same time Nurak Abdrahmanov\u2019s students participated in the concert.<\/p>\n
