{"id":187,"date":"2014-03-09T17:22:35","date_gmt":"2014-03-09T17:22:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/old.aigine.kg\/short-summary-of-summer-events\/"},"modified":"2019-12-26T13:34:52","modified_gmt":"2019-12-26T13:34:52","slug":"short-summary-of-summer-events","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/aigine.kg\/?p=187&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Short summary of summer events"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"padding-top: 5px; padding-bottom: 5px; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; line-height: 20px; text-align: justify;\">Beginning of September was marked by completion of Aigine CRC\u2019s summer seminars and field research trips.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 5px; padding-bottom: 5px; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; line-height: 20px; text-align: justify;\">Summer sessions of the seminar on&nbsp;<em>Manas&nbsp;<\/em>epic and Nurak Abdrakhmanov\u2019s&nbsp;<em>En Belgi&nbsp;<\/em>system for teachers, were conducted on the shore of the Issyk-Kul Lake and mountains of Karakol. &nbsp;The summer sessions of the aforementioned seminars were aimed at transmitting information through live interaction, i.e. through process of recitation, musical performance and interpersonal communication with mentors. The core element of the sessions was immersion into the world of traditional spiritually through&nbsp;<em>tysh joruu (<\/em>oneiromancy) and<em>kaiyp ilimi,&nbsp;<\/em>communicating with spirits and invisible guardians (<em>eeler, pirler<\/em>) of water, soil, fire and sky. While working with a particular version of the epic and individual recitation manner, a special emphasis was put on initial diversity of epic versions and folk melodies. Mentors individually worked with young&nbsp;<em>manaschys&nbsp;<\/em>to overcome their fears and other confrontations they have with their inner and religious values. Mentors were from different regions and represented different schools of recitation.&nbsp; Doolot Sydykov, Kamil Mamadaliev, Kuban Almabekov, Ryspai Isakov and Zamirbek Bayaliev were the main mentors of young&nbsp;<em>manaschys<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 5px; padding-bottom: 5px; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; line-height: 20px;\">Aigine CRC has also completed its field research on sacred sites in Batken oblast. Our research team reached some of the most remote places, such as high mountainous&nbsp;<em>Aikol&nbsp;<\/em>Lake, blacksmiths\u2019 halidom&nbsp;<em>Dootpirim&nbsp;<\/em>in Leilek and hot springs of&nbsp;<em>Zardaly&nbsp;<\/em>and&nbsp;<em>Kojeshkent<\/em>. Local people have a saying \u201cWhy to go to&nbsp;<em>Zardaly&nbsp;<\/em>if you don\u2019t have an urgent matter? Why to go to&nbsp;<em>Kojeshkent&nbsp;<\/em>if you don\u2019t have an urgent need?\u201d These places of pristine beauty, holding powerful cultural meanings, can be accessed only by many-hours-long walk on quite dangerous trails. One of the most impressive sites was a vast spring&nbsp;<em>Chechme&nbsp;<\/em>that literally unites Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
