During the meeting, consultations focused on traditional knowledge related to the use and distribution of water under conditions of climate change. The Aigine CRC team shared recommendations and advice based on their research on climate change and local practices of water resource management. The discussion also covered the next steps of the project being implemented in Dobo village, Batken Region, and summarised the outcomes of the first field visit conducted at the beginning of December. The programme featured Dr. Gulnara Aitpaeva, Director of the Aigine Cultural Research Center; Sabira Soltongeldieva, Responsible Secretary for UNESCO Affairs in the Kyrgyz Republic; and Zhanylsyzat Turganbaeva, Co-Founder and Director of the Supara Ethno-Complex. During the broadcast, the speakers highlighted the significance of this achievement and spoke about the work carried out during the 20th Session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, held in New Delhi, India, as well as the activities of the Kyrgyz delegation. Special attention was given to the event organised by the Aigine CRC within the framework of the session, where Kyrgyzstan\u2019s digital platform on intangible cultural heritage was presented as an important tool for systematising, safeguarding, and transmitting traditional knowledge.
