Aigine CRC&#8217;s project was selected as one of the best examples of community-based inventorying of ICH.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-14748\" src=\"https:\/\/aigine.kg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/\u0411\u0435\u0437-\u043d\u0430\u0437\u0432\u0430\u043d\u0438\u044f-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"104\" height=\"67\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql o9v6fnle ii04i59q\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">The presentation touched upon the concept of pilgrimage practices and rituals, decades-long history of Aigine CRC&#8217;s research on sacred sites, current risks and challenges, need for and development of safeguarding measures for pilgrimage practices and sacred sites. Project design and its implementation alongside with community members and preparation of project results with ICH communities was stressed upon. Cholponai UG also talked about the follow up activities and steps to ensure the project&#8217;s sustainability.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-14748\" src=\"https:\/\/aigine.kg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/\u0411\u0435\u0437-\u043d\u0430\u0437\u0432\u0430\u043d\u0438\u044f-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"122\" height=\"79\" \/><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql o9v6fnle ii04i59q\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">The presentation took place within the framework of an online workshop on the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage organized by ICCROM\/Sharjah at the request of the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Culture.
