Regional specifics of the uprising<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Tenlik Dalaeva: Representation of private evidences on the events of 1916 in educational literature<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Abstract: Discussions and studies on the history of the uprising of 1916 in Central Asia, which are conducted by professional historians and the public, show that the representation of the events in scientific and educational publications and the memory of those tragic days in public perception do not always coincide. This is due to the fact that, along with documentary sources, researchers have the opportunity to make wide use of the evidence of both the participants in these events and their descendants, who have preserved the memory of those tragic days within the family.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Today, two factors significantly influence the teaching of history in schools and universities: 1) a wide information space and modern methods of broadcasting both scientific and educational materials on history; 2) the development of a new direction &#8211; public history.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The purpose of this report is to study ways to solve the problem: how, preserving the scientific basis in historical research, but processing them into educational materials, to make them available for understanding and assimilation by students and the general public; the search for consensus in the reconstruction of history \u201cfrom top to bottom\u201d and \u201cfrom bottom to top\u201d through historical research based on a combination of private evidences &#8211; documents of \u201cprivate\u201d memory and sources recognized in historical science &#8211; official and archival documents, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The analysis of the emotional content of private testimony will be presented, which made up the evaluation of characteristics that influence today the construction of historical knowledge within the framework of public history, at the interface of academic knowledge and public perception. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p> <!--more--> fulltext\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From May 31 to June 1, 2019, the international symposium \u201cThe 1916 Uprising in Central Asia: academic integration, new approaches and knowledge\u201d \u00a0took place in Karakol. \u00a0 Panel 2.
