{"id":5624,"date":"2014-03-12T11:15:14","date_gmt":"2014-03-12T11:15:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/old.aigine.kg\/video-version-of-the-semetei-epic-the-second-part-of-the-kyrgyz-epic-trology-2013\/"},"modified":"2020-03-03T16:44:22","modified_gmt":"2020-03-03T10:44:22","slug":"video-version-of-the-semetei-epic-the-second-part-of-the-kyrgyz-epic-trology-2013","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/aigine.kg\/?page_id=5624&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Video compilation of the second part of the epic trilogy, the Semetei epic (2013)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 5px; padding-bottom: 5px; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; line-height: 20px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/IMG_2960-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/IMG_2968-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 5px; padding-bottom: 5px; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; line-height: 20px; text-align: justify;\">In May 2013, Aigine Cultural Research Center within the framework of its project on\u00a0<em>Placing the Manas epic into the Contemporary World\u00a0<\/em>completed and published video version of the second part of the epic\u00a0trilogy,<em>Semetei\u00a0<\/em>epic.\u00a0The goal\u00a0of the project\u00a0is to compile full video recording and form complete traditional version of the\u00a0<em>Manas\u00a0<\/em>epic narrated by contemporary\u00a0<em>manaschy\u00a0<\/em>(reciters).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 5px; padding-bottom: 5px; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; line-height: 20px; text-align: justify;\">The video version\u00a0consists of\u00a0<strong>39 key episodes\u00a0<\/strong>that make up the core of the\u00a0<em>Semetei\u00a0<\/em>epic. The list of the episodes was composed\u00a0and approved\u00a0by\u00a0<em>manaschys<\/em>\u00a0themselves.\u00a0<strong>11 currently active and recognized\u00a0<\/strong><em><strong>manaschys<\/strong><\/em>participated in the video recording and each\u00a0<em>manaschy\u00a0<\/em>recited several episodes of their choosing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 5px; padding-bottom: 5px; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; line-height: 20px; text-align: justify;\">The video compilaiton of the\u00a0<em>Semetei\u00a0<\/em>epic is\u00a0<strong>26 hours long\u00a0<\/strong>recording written on two-layered DVD discs. The discs are accompanied by a broschure consisting of each manaschy\u2019s story related to reciting the\u00a0<em>Semetei\u00a0<\/em>epic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 5px; padding-bottom: 5px; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; line-height: 20px; text-align: justify;\">This video compilation was formed at the initiative of the Aigine CRC with financial support of The Christensen Fund and became a continuation of\u00a0<a style=\"font-style: italic; color: #000000;\" href=\"http:\/\/aigine.kg\/?page_id=5821&amp;lang=en\">the\u00a0<em>Manas\u00a0<\/em>epic\u2019s video version<\/a>\u00a0that has been distributed among schools of the country free of charge.
