🎶 Learning Process for Young Musicians: The project’s working group, consisting of musicians Cholpon Turumbayeva, Rysbek Junushov, Zalina Kasymova, and the master of traditional musical instrument crafting Marat Berikbayev, has completed the process of modifying the structure of the kyl kyyak to enable it to easily produce the “koñur ýn” (traditional Kyrgyz music). This week, the project’s working group started the training phase for young musicians to play on the reconstructed kyl kyyaks. The final goal of training this group of musicians in playing reconstructed komuz and kyl kyyak is their integration with the reconstructed instruments into the orchestra of the B. Beishenaliev University of Culture and Arts and the performance of a concluding concert.
🎬 “The Weak Offends, the Strong Defends”: The video editing process for the video titled “Alsys kordoyt, kuchtuu korgoyt” (the weak offends, the strong defends) concluded this week. Traditional horse game players of “kok-boru,” who are widely popular both in the capital and in the regions of the country, as well as professional actors and stunt performers, were involved in the filming. The project’s working group has begun planning the presentation of the video and the process of showcasing it in various media and other social platforms. The production process of creating the video is led by the project coordinator Meerim Aitkeeva.
