Kyrgyz people did not have a writing system. They did not have science, like astronomy, but they had jaichy. I, for instance, know how to predict the weather according to the moon. If the new moon is thin and pale in color, with longish edges then it means that the month will be good, with no storm and hail. It will rain, which will be good for the crops. In the month of February if you see the moon on its back, you will see that the weather will be gloomy and very cold.
