Great Mountains, local research: As part of the “Uluu Toolor” (Great Mountains) project, high school students from grades 7-11 of three schools in the Issyk-Kul region (Kazy-Saz, Ton, and Tuura-Suu villages) are conducting research among local residents on the following topics: petroglyphs, legends, medicinal plants, and successful women. Before beginning their research, the Aigine Cultural Research Center (CRC) conducted a training session on basic research methods and interviewing techniques. The research will last for one month, after which the students will present the results of their work in a creative format (video report, photo exhibition, play, etc.). Throughout the month, the young researchers will actively publish photo and video reports on the process on social media, using the information obtained during the training.

Working Meetingsz: On May 6, the team from the Aigine Cultural Research Center (CRC) held an online meeting with Sainbayar Urtnasan, the contact person and coordinator of the Foundation for the Protection of Natural and Cultural Heritage, located in Mongolia. This foundation is one of the two organizations in Mongolia accredited under the 2003 UNESCO Convention. The meeting discussed future projects. The purpose of the meeting was to get to know each other and to explore the possibility of working on joint projects to preserve and popularize intangible cultural heritage.
