Work Trips: On August 6th, the Aigine Cultural Research Center team began a field survey of the Sarmishsay archaeological complex, located near the city of Navoi in Uzbekistan. The complex is renowned for its fascinating petroglyph scenes. Ramazan Yegamov, the director of the Sarmishsay Park, discussed the significance and some rare scenes depicted on the petroglyphs at an event organized by the Aigine Cultural Research Center in July this year, held at Issyk-Kul. ⛰️ Motion Video Development: The project “Preservation of Murdash Bashy Petroglyphs and Related Traditional Knowledge through Mapping and Digitization” is dedicated to the ancient stone drawings of Murdash Bashy, which are being destroyed and disappearing before our eyes due to active coal mining operations.
