Aigine CRC is starting to implement the project “Digital Journey to ICH of Kyrgyzstan”. The project is supported by the Intangible Cultural Heritage Fund of UNESCO. The overall objective is to establish an interactive multimedia digital platform (website) of ICH elements with comprehensive information on the 2003 Convention, ICH communities, active stakeholders, safeguarding activities and audio/visual materials. Today, on March 31, at the office of Aigine CRC, the Soltec team in partnership with the Aigine CRC team held a working meeting to research and form a block of knowledge on indigenous prayers, blessings, parting words, meditative practices, in particular, women’s approaches, in order to further their revitalization through development of a digital catalog. Seminar on local indicators of climate change
On March 25th, 2023 Aigine CRC researchers conducted a seminar on local indicators of climate change that brought together participants from Bishkek and Ysyk-Kul region. The participants learned how to map local indicators of climate change as well as local adaptive strategies. The Aigine CRC researches also presented the results of the field study on local indicators of climate change that was undertaken in the Ysyk-Kul province in January and February 2023. A seminar was led by Aibek Samakov, the coordinator of the initiative group.

Today, March 23, the Aigine CRC team took part in the third seminar for safeguarding ICH in the Asia-Pacific Research region. The seminar was organized by the International Research Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region (IRCI). The seminar discussed issues related to the transmission of ICH and various safeguarding measures.
