Today, 4 May 2022, the working group on a geographically more balanced representation of accredited NGOs under the 2003 UNESCO Convention met with accredited NGOs in the African Region. The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the issue of the underrepresentation of ICH NGOs in the Forum and consider possible ways to attract more NGOs for accreditation. Field trips
Professor Ruth Mace and her assistants Ishan Xie and Naerhulan Halimubieke from the Department of Anthropology, College of the University of London continue pilot field trips to identify villages where the main research of their study will take place. On April 11, a meeting at the Aigine CRC office with Professor Ruth Mace and her assistants Ishan Xie and Naerhulan Halimubieke from the Department of Anthropology, College of the University of London was held. The second scheduled meeting of the working group
Today, March 31, 2022, the second scheduled meeting of the working group on a geographically more balanced representation of accredited NGOs under the 2003 UNESCO Convention took place. During the meeting, the group members approved a work strategy plan to reach those geographic regions with low NGO representation in the Forum. The group also discussed the first steps to implement the strategy and set a date for the first regional meeting to be held with NGOs in the African region.
