Aigine CRC was accredited by UNESCO in 2016 to provide advisory services to the Intergovernmental Committee in the framework of the 2003 UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage. As an accredited NGO, Aigine CRC has joined the ICH NGO Forum and has been taking part in its various activities. The ICH NGO Forum is a platform for communication, networking, exchange and cooperation of accredited NGOs around the world. Petroglyphs of Sary Zhaz
On August 9-10, the Aigine CRC team carried out field research with the aim of documenting petroglyphs in two gorges of Sary Zhaz valley: Kul and Enilchek. In the first valley, two galleries or clusters of petroglyph drawings and many single stones with drawings were found. However, all petroglyphs here have been destroyed under the influence of time and natural factors. Petroglyphs of Murdash Tash, Tergen Tash, Saimaluu Tash.
From 16 to 21 July 2021 Aigine CRC’s team, together with local experts, conducted a study of Murdash Tash and Tergen Tash petroglyphs, Osh oblast, and also petroglyphs of Saimaluu Tash, Jalal-Abad oblast. The study is carried out as part of a pilot project to document and analyze the petroglyph heritage of indigenous peoples from a scientific and esoteric perspective.
