On September 25, a review presentation of trips to the petroglyphs of the south of Kyrgyzstan- Murdash-Bashy and Tergen-Tash in the Osh region and Saimaluu-Tash in Jalal-Abad region – took place at Aigine CRC office. International Cultural Forum in ancient Khiva
On September 15, the International Cultural Forum “Central Asia at the Crossroads of World Civilizations” began in Khiva, the ancient city of Uzbekistan. Aigine CRC's membership and activity within the ICH NGO Forum's Working Groups
Aigine CRC was accredited by UNESCO in 2016 to provide advisory services to the Intergovernmental Committee in the framework of the 2003 UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage. As an accredited NGO, Aigine CRC has joined the ICH NGO Forum and has been taking part in its various activities. The ICH NGO Forum is a platform for communication, networking, exchange and cooperation of accredited NGOs around the world. Petroglyphs of Sary Zhaz
On August 9-10, the Aigine CRC team carried out field research with the aim of documenting petroglyphs in two gorges of Sary Zhaz valley: Kul and Enilchek. In the first valley, two galleries or clusters of petroglyph drawings and many single stones with drawings were found. However, all petroglyphs here have been destroyed under the influence of time and natural factors.
