Project coordinator of Aigine CRC Aiza Abdyrakhmanova and the employee of the National Commission for UNESCO of the Kyrgyz Republic, Chinara Bosunbaeva, participate in the final edition of the multinational file on Falconry to nominate this element into the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage. The meeting takes place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Experts from Croatia, Ireland, Poland, Slovakia, and the Netherlands also attend the meeting.

Where the white gyrfalcon lands, grace comes
On January 15, a meeting with representatives of a community hunters with wild birds, including falconry, took place at Aigine CRC. Discussion was about falconry as a complex of knowledge, practices and peoples’beliefs.
Culture and politics
On January 14, Director of Aigine CRC Gulnara Aitpayeva, together with the Secretary General of the National Commission for UNESCO, Sabira Soltongeldieva, took part in the author’s program of Edil Osmonbetov “Duino duburtu” on Maral radio. Dicussion was about the activities of UNESCO in the country, experts, nominations, achievements and difficulties.
ICH NGO Forum
Representatives of Colombia, Singapore, India, Nepal, the Netherlands, Burkina Faso shared their experiences of manifesting and maintaining ICH in the face of massive urbanization, migration and social upheaval. 6 working groups developed proposals on the role of NGOs in the preparation of national nominations. After lunch, the NGO Forum discussed a document containing the rules governing the activities of the NGO Forum. 98 people whose activities are related to NGOs and ICH have registered for the Forum.
