On January 14, Director of  Aigine CRC  Gulnara Aitpayeva, together with the Secretary General of the National Commission for UNESCO, Sabira Soltongeldieva, took part in the author’s program of Edil Osmonbetov “Duino duburtu” on Maral radio. Dicussion was about the activities of UNESCO in the country, experts, nominations, achievements and difficulties.

Representatives of Colombia, Singapore, India, Nepal, the Netherlands, Burkina Faso shared their experiences of manifesting and maintaining ICH in the face of massive urbanization, migration and social upheaval. 6 working groups developed proposals on the role of NGOs in the preparation of national nominations. After lunch, the NGO Forum discussed a document containing the rules governing the activities of the NGO Forum. 98 people whose activities are related to NGOs and ICH have registered for the Forum.

Project expert of  Aigine  CRC Ayzharkyn Kozhobekova and project coordinator  of Aigine  CRC Aiza Abdyrakhmanova are currently participating in a subregional meeting to promote ICH, which will be held from November 18 to 21 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The meeting was attended by delegations from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan. The event was organized by the International Information and Networking Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific region under the auspices of UNESCO (ICHCAP). Тогуз-Торо (Девять преград) или, как говорят местные люди, край, огражденный девятью горными цепями, относится сейчас к Джалал-Абадской области. Святое место Жыланач-Бугу (Обнаженная Лань) находится в Тогуз Торо, севернее села Казарман, на вершине горного хребта Молдо-Тоо. Место паломничества находится на вершине горы, высота которой около 5000 метров. Гора, где находится святое место, состоит из двух слоев: сначала идут каменистые довольно крутые холмы, покрытые мелкой растительностью. Она местами зеленеет до самой глубокой осени и иногда видна из-под снега. Затем, ближе к вершине, каменистые холмы сменяются крупным гравием и большими, скалистыми, очень подвижными…
