Today, on February 4, Sanghun Choon, the coordinator of Kyrgyzfriends – a cultural tourism development project which is conducted by the KOICA and KF SilkRoad consortium, visited the office of Aigine CRC. KF’s mission is to unlock an enormous touristic potential of Kyrgyz Republic by way of discovering and commercializing cultural tourism resources and also provide jobs and increase profits for Kyrgyz rural residents.. The coordinators and staff of Aigine CRC discussed ideas for possible cooperation between Aigine CRC and KF.

Today, December 23, Aigine CIC held a presentation of the National Guidelines for the Preservation of Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Practices and Rituals. The presentation was attended by coordinators of regional working groups, guardians of sacred sites, members of the Supervisory Board, employees of the National Commission for UNESCO, as well as local experts on ICH. During the presentation, issues of disseminating the guide to appropriate communities and educational institutions in the regions were discussed. Today, December 14, an online meeting of the working groups of non-governmental organizations accredited under the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage 2003. The purpose of this working group is, in particular, to consider how best to implement and use the Overall Results Framework of the Convention, particularly in the preparation of periodic reports, but also throughout national or local safeguarding plans that incorporate evaluation objectives to varying degrees.
