Today, March 31, 2022, the second scheduled meeting of the working group on a geographically more balanced representation of accredited NGOs under the 2003 UNESCO Convention took place. During the meeting, the group members approved a work strategy plan to reach those geographic regions with low NGO representation in the Forum. The group also discussed the first steps to implement the strategy and set a date for the first regional meeting to be held with NGOs in the African region.

Today, on March 29, there was a discussion of possible ways of cooperation between Aigine CRC and the Ethno-cultural research and educational center “AruSvati”, Altai Republic, Russia. The head of AruSvati” center, Danil Ivanovich Mamyev, and the staff of Aigine CRC shared with each other their proposals and ideas in the framework of possible international cooperation and found common ground. Working meetings
On March 24, an online meeting of the co-chairs of the Working Group on the geographically balanced representation of regions, formed at the Forum of Accredited NGOs, took place. The forum operates under the International Committee for the 2003 UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. Matti Hakamäki from Finland and Cholponai Usubalieva-Grischuk discussed and agreed on the details of the program of the general meeting of the Forum members, which will take place next week.

On 13 March 2022 Cholponai UG represented as a guest speaker and delivered a presentation on Safeguarding of Practices and Rare Rituals Related to Sacred Sites in Kyrgyzstan implemented in 2018-2020 with the support of the International Assistance program of the UNESCO ICH Fund.
